Choosing a work of photography for a private collection is a different exercise from browsing a gallery. The work will live in a specific space, in a specific context, alongside other choices that already say something about who you are. Getting it right requires a conversation — not a catalogue.
The Art Advisory session is exactly that: a focused, individual conversation in which we understand your taste, your existing collection and your intentions, and then present the artists and specific works from the IMAGE IN PROGRESS roster that are genuinely well suited to what you are looking for. We work only with photographers we represent and stand behind — so every suggestion is one we make with our name attached to it.
The session lasts up to two hours. It's held remotely. A session summary with selected works, prices and purchase links is provided afterwards. If you decide to acquire a work, the advisory fee of €150 is deducted in full from the purchase price.

The session opens with a conversation about you — your taste in photography, the context for the work (residential, professional, institutional), your existing collection if any, and the kind of presence you want a new acquisition to have. There are no right answers; the more specific you are, the more precisely we can respond.
On the basis of that conversation, we present a focused selection of artists and specific works from the IMAGE IN PROGRESS represented roster — with full context on each photographer's practice, the edition specifications, provenance and market positioning. You leave with a clear picture of what is available, what it means, and what it is worth.
The Art Advisory draws exclusively from the IMAGE IN PROGRESS represented roster — photographers whose work we know in depth, whose editions we have helped develop, and whose market trajectory we follow directly. Works are available as limited editions through our Artsper gallery and through direct acquisition from IMAGE IN PROGRESS. Selected works have also been sold through international auction houses including Ader, Aste Dams, Finarte, Grisebach, Köller, Lempertz and Paddle8.

Booking
Pay €150 via paypal.me/edifore and write to us with a few lines about what you are looking for and your preferred dates. We confirm within two working days.
The conversation
We begin with you — your taste in photography, your space, your collection context, your intentions. The more specific and honest you are about what you want, the more precisely we can respond. This part of the session typically takes thirty to forty minutes.
The selection
On the basis of the conversation, we present a curated selection of artists and specific works. For each, we give you full context: the photographer's practice and trajectory, the edition structure, the display considerations, the price. We do not present a long list — we present the right works.
Post-session summary
After the session you receive a written summary of the selected works with a link, edition details and direct purchase links. There is no time pressure — the summary is yours to consider at your own pace.
Acquisition
If you decide to acquire a work, the €150 advisory fee is deducted in full from the purchase price. We handle the transaction, the certificate of authenticity, the invoice, and the delivery — wherever you are.
