Underwater photography has been at the heart of IMAGE IN PROGRESS since our very first issue — a cover shot beneath the surface, an interview with a photographer who works in water as others work with light. Over the years, what began as a recurring fascination became a conviction: this genre deserves a space of its own. The Underwater Photography Festival is that space — a long-term, multi-stage project conceived as a Diffused and Immersive Festival, taking shape online first, then on paper and in physical space.
